Later on, EACC was changed to East Asia College of Information Technology.

Then in the year 2002, FEU became the sole owner of the EACIT by buying the shares of the school’s shareholders. EACIT was then merged with the university’s College of Engineering. The award was presented by the Microsoft Academic Community.
